Québec Government of Québec (Rénoclimat)

Rénoclimat

Up to $38,500 per home available

The provincial programme that reimburses part of the cost of insulation, air-sealing, and window-replacement work — based on an energy evaluation carried out before and after the work.

What is the Rénoclimat?

The Rénoclimat is administered by Government of Québec (Rénoclimat) and available to eligible properties in Québec. It is designed to help homeowners reduce the upfront cost of installing low-carbon energy systems and improvements — supporting Québec's climate goals while lowering household energy bills.

Am I eligible?

  • An energy evaluation by a Rénoclimat advisor must be carried out BEFORE the work begins.
  • Eligible work covers insulation (roof, walls, basement), air-sealing, and windows and doors.
  • Assistance is calculated according to the measures completed: up to $1,500 for roof insulation and up to $3,750 for walls.
  • The home must be an existing dwelling and eligible under the programme's criteria.
  • Combined assistance can reach a maximum of $38,500 per home.

Not sure if you qualify? A free home assessment from one of our RBQ-licensed installers will confirm your eligibility and identify every grant you can access.

How it works

  1. 1

Book an energy evaluation with a Rénoclimat advisor — it must take place before the work starts.

  2. 2

The advisor produces a report and recommends the most cost-effective measures.

  3. 3

You have the insulation, air-sealing, or window work carried out by a contractor.

  4. 4

A second energy evaluation confirms the improvements once the work is complete.

  5. 5

The financial assistance is paid according to the measures completed and the gains achieved.
